Lisa
My name is Lisa. I have had the privilege of working with Dr. McCatty since September 2017.
I began my career in dentistry in 2014 after spending several years working in accounting and human resources. It was my sister, Donna, who encouraged me to explore the dental field, and I’m so glad she did! While preparing for my RDA license, I had the incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience by shadowing Dr. McCatty in his former office. This invaluable experience not only enhanced my skills but also solidified my passion for dentistry.
When I began working with Dr. McCatty in 2017, I started on the clinical side as a dental assistant. Over time, I had the opportunity to cross-train as a front desk assistant, and in 2021, I proudly transitioned into the role of office manager. I have a true passion for patient care and strive to ensure every patient feels valued and supported throughout their dental journey.
Outside of work, I am a proud wife, mother and nonni. I have 2 beautiful granddaughters, 1 very handsome grandson, and the sweetest grand-dog. Most of my weekends are spent cheering on my grandkids at their extracurricular activities.
Kailon
I began my journey with Dr. Mark McCatty during my senior year of high school as a front desk associate, and I quickly found my passion for patient care. Soon after, I cross-trained in the clinical side of the office and earned my Texas Dental Assistant license. Now, I have the privilege of guiding patients through their denture journeys and watching their smiles transform into something they can truly be proud of.
When I’m not helping patients, I cherish spending time with my family and friends, enjoying the little things in life. As a proud mother, I make sure to balance work and home, and I love reading mythical books, watching TV, and trying new foods. One of my favorite sayings is, “Nothing happens to you, but all things are happening for you.” I strive to live by this, reminding myself that even in challenging moments, everything is part of a bigger picture, and it’s important to embrace the small, beautiful moments in life.
I’m truly excited to assist each patient during their dental journey, creating meaningful experiences and helping you feel confident and comfortable every step of the way!
Sydnee
There was a time when I lost hope in my career and didn’t believe things would get better. But a lot changed when I met Dr. McCatty and Lisa at IHOP for an interview for a Front Desk Auxiliary spot. They took a chance on me, and it’s been one of the best milestones in my life. Fast forward 4 years—I’ve not only led the front desk but also earned my dental assistant license. I’ve grown so much in my career, confidence, and as a person, and I’m incredibly thankful to Dr. McCatty and the team for welcoming me with grace.
Outside of work, I’m a mom and wife, and I juggle a growing farm on top of it all. I love crawfish, garage sales, family outings, and cheering my kids on in all their activities.
Megan
My name is Megan. When I was 14, my dad needed all his teeth extracted and replaced with a full set of dentures. Dr. McCatty generously allowed me to shadow him during the entire process, which sparked my curiosity in dentistry. I continued to shadow the practice the following summer, fascinated by the work.
Four years later, while working at a restaurant, our office manager, Lisa came in for a meal and recognized me. She mentioned that a staff member was about to go on maternity leave and they needed a part-time replacement. After Kailon returned, I was offered a full-time position and the chance to become a registered dental assistant.
Now, three years later, I’m incredibly grateful for that chance encounter. It’s true what they say, “everything happens for a reason,” and I can confidently say I’m exactly where I’m meant to be!
Alex
My name is Alexander but the team calls me Alex. I live in Atlanta, TX with my two teenage daughters and wife of 23 years. When I was just a teenager, I became inspired to go into the field of denture fabrication because of my father, who was having trouble with his dentures at the time. Since then, I have made it my mission to give people their most comfortable and confident smile. Just like working to create the perfect dentures, I am also working to create the perfect home. My wife and I are renovating our 1970s house to become a space that brings us joy both outside in the garden, and in the kitchen where I enjoy cooking delicious meals for the people who are most important to me.
Beyond sculpting dentures or swinging a hammer, you might find me swinging a golf club on the links while I work on my game and my jokes. Always quick with wit and a laugh, I met Dr. McCatty at a professional conference in 2013 and we both knew we’d be able to create something special if we had the opportunity to work together. I feel blessed to be a part of the Texarkana Denture & Implant Studio crew.
